SimaPro 7 LCA Software 
A powerful life cycle assessment tool
SimaPro is the most widely used life cycle assessment (LCA) software, used by major industries and consultants, through to research institutes and universities. It allows complex life cycles to be modelled and analysed in a systematic and transparent way.
SimaPro 7 is a professional tool which has a number of applications, for example,

SimaPro version to suit all needs
SimaPro is available in 3 professional version from Compact through to Developer. Each version is available in a single user (stand alone) or multi-user network version, which is ideal for project teams.
- SimaPro Compact - for quick results
Easy to use. Powerful wizards assist you in managing complex tasks while all the results remain completely transparent.
- SimaPro Analyst - for detailed LCA studies
It is built for the LCA expert with advanced analytical features such as parameterized modelling and Monte Carlo analysis.
- SimaPro Developer - for creating dedicated LCA tools
The same features as SimaPro Analyst but with extended features such as direct Excel/ASP linking, wizard writing options and COM interface.

For educational use, special versions are offered at reduced prices.
Licence options
Temporary - the software wil run for the duration of the licence but will revert to demo mode once the licence has expired. data can be accessed and printed but not edited in demo mode.
Indefinite - the software will run indefinitely but a current service contract is needed to ensure access to software updates and the helpdesk.
New licences include a service contract, giving you access to software and database updates as well as the helpdesk. Temporary licences come with a service contract for the duration of the licence, indefinite licences come with a free one year service contract.
A temporary licence is an ideal solution if you:
- want to test SimaPro before purchasing an indefinite licence, or want to run a first LCA project and investigate if it is a tool that fulfills your needs.
- need temporary expansion of your LCA capacity to run a complex LCA project. This is especially useful with a multi-user version.
Databases in SimaPro
To get you started with your LCA projects, SimaPro comes inclusive of several inventory databases with thousands of processes, plus the most important impact assessment methods. You do not have to spend time on collecting general data yourself, instead you can focus on the important issues of your study.
How to order
To order a SimaPro licence simply complete the professional or educational order forms as appropriate.
A first year service contract is included in the price of all indefinite licences. This ensures you receive regular database adn software updates, access to the helpdesk (phone, fax or email), and eligibility to join the SimaPro Internet User Group. To continue to have access to the helpdesk and software updates after the initial period, it is necessary to renew the service contract. On receipt of payment a new registration code will be sent to you.
To renew, please use our service contract renewal form. If you decide not to renew your service contract but decide at a later date that you wish to update your software, you will have to buy a new licence at 75% of the list price.
For temporary licences a service contract is included for the licence period.
Training
Training is available through either PRé Consultants, the Netherlands or Pira International, UK.
The training offered by PRé Consultants is a two day intensive course. You will learn about:
- Comcepts and applications of LCA
- Building inventories
- Structure of SimaPro
- Modelling life cycles
- Impact Assessment
- Analysing and interpreting results
Special emphasis is put on practical, hands-on experience using the SimaPro software. Computers will be available or you are welcome tobring your own laptop.
The training is provided by experienced consultants who have conducted numerous LCA projects and use SimaPro on a daily basis.
