Pira International is very active in the field of research and technology. The Research Group actively pursues and participates in public funded research projects. Together with colleagues from the Consultancy Group and support from our Information Centre and Conferences and Training Group, we provide a full range of research services. These range from industry research to specialised market services for the financial sector, multi-client studies on specialist topics through to primary research performed by the Business Intelligence Group.
Much of Pira's research has a technical focus which supports allied activities such as bringing new technologies to market and trialling new solutions in commercial environments. Examples of this are Membrane Bioreactors for improved water efficiency in paper mills and the use of sensors for rapid monitoring of recovered paper quality..
