Introduction
Pira Consulting offers a number of specialised innovation- and design-based services for the packaging industry. These include production of new packaging designs through our Associates Network as well as in-house services such as Virtual Testing, which applies finite element analysis (FEA) in computational modelling technology for packaging design and evaluation. The Eyes and Ears Programme is a technology scouting service which works closely with packaging clients to deliver a highly personalised summary of key innovation developments of interest to each client. Our innovation services also include Creativity Workshops which help participants develop and capitalise on their creativity to produce new innovative ideas which can contribute to the bottom line - whether these are product or process related.
In addition, Pira participates in a range of research projects which are at the leading edge of technical developments for packaging and paper - an example of this is the SustainPack project. This knowledge can be put to good use on behalf of our clients to give them a leading edge in their innovation and design activities.
